Give your staff some room to do their job. No two individuals are made equally so stop attempting to drive them into descriptions of their positions that do not capitalize on their interests and strengths. Get to know them personally to understand their personality types, learning styles and communication. You would be better placed learning how your employees operate instead of having them work in a manner that seems best to you.
Most of the managers focus on what fulfills them. Workers know that if you’re only inspired to meet your needs, then they are going not to do anything otherwise. Instead of this, ask them what you can do for them. Think of an action plan and set a deadline and be sure that you live up to it. Ensure that you do not give them all the solutions. Your workers ask remedies from you because they wish to absolve themselves from responsibility. However, when they ask for solutions from you, ask what their suggestions would be and how they’d want to handle a special problem. When you take care of this; you are going to be amazed about how you’ll gain lots of confidence in their abilities.
Provide them with some motivators like a dress down day. If most of your employees love coffee, you should get an office coffee service to serve you coffee as you work. You could also allow them to work from home for one day a week and see if it will increase their productivity. Also get to know them on a personal level, know their birthdays, anniversaries and other special days in their lives. This will make them feel inspired and certainly will work hard and ensure the success of your business.
